John Long
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer

John W. Long is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. He graduated from New Mexico State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. He has earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 

Mr. Long's prior experience includes over three years in the audit department of KPMG Peat Marwick in El Paso, over five years of experience with an El Paso-based investment, real estate and property management firm. He has been with JDW Insurance as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer since 1986. 

Mr. Long is active in the community and is currently on the board of directors of the New Mexico State University Foundation, Inc. and Lutheran Social Services of the South, Inc.

Mr. Long is also Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and a founder of Varay Systems.
