D. R. "Dee" Margo II

Donald R. (Dee) Margo II is Chairman of the Board and CEO. Mr. Margo joined JDW Insurance in 1977, became President in 1981, and Chairman in 2000. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in history and economics. Mr. Margo has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table.

Mr. Margo was instrumental in bringing the Border Fund, a fund of the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation, to El Paso, which has provided over $23 million dollars for worthy causes in the El Paso, Las Cruces, NM and Juarez, Mexico communities. He is active in numerous civic activities including serving as the Chairman of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce, the Executive Committee of the El Paso Regional Economic Development Committee (REDCO) and the Board of Directors and Chairman (2001-2003) of the Business Institute for Political Analysis for the Business-Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC) located in Washington D.C.  He is the former chair of the Chamber and also spent 8 years as the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army.

Mr. Margo is also Chairman of the Board and a founder of Varay Systems.
