Eric R. McGinnes
Vice President
Eric R. McGinnes, CIC, CLCS is Vice President of the Commercial Lines Division at JDW. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics in 1999 and a Master of Business Administration in General Business/Finance in 2002. Since joining JDW in January of 2003, he has earned the designations of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS). He is a Texas Licensed Risk Manager and is currently working towards his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
Mr. McGinnes' primary areas of focus include construction, bioenergy, healthcare and social services. He also focuses on defense industry exposures and professional services firms that utilize the federal contract procurement process. Mr. McGinnes focuses on a holistic and proactive risk management approach that appropriately addresses and quantifies the business risks of an organization.
Mr. McGinnes’ currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Paso del Norte Children’s Development Center and as a Trustee for the Center’s Foundation. He also serves as Regional Vice President of the Insurance Men and Women’s Political Action Committee of Texas (IMPACT) – Region 4. Mr. McGinnes currently serves as Vice President of the Independent Insurance Agents of El Paso. In addition, Mr. McGinnes is a member of Team El Paso Healthcare Council and the Armed Forces Committee, groups directed by the Government Relations Division of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce. Devoted to his alma mater, Mr. McGinnes also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the El Paso Chapter of the Texas Tech Alumni Association.
